Whole nutmeg provides a more potent taste and aroma than ground, and gives you fresh flavor every time you use it. Just grate the amount you need with a microplane or spice grinder. No need to remove the outer shell. Our nutmeg is a warm, sweet, aromatic spice that’s great not only in custards and eggnog, but in curries, cream sauces like the classic béchamel, and in pasta and Greek dishes. Also use it in your own mulling spice blend. Whole nutmegs store long and well in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
